MORNING WORSHIP 10:00 AM
The Seventeenth Sunday after Pentecost
(Please pass the red pew pads now. If you are a guest this Sunday, we would love to greet you following the service or at coffee fellowship in the Social Hall.)
The Psalmist wrote, “I keep the LORD always before me …” Psalm 16:8
May we try to do the same. With warm hearts before God and loving hands toward one another, let us worship joyfully together. Welcome!

THE CALL TO WORSHIP
Minister: We gather this morning from where we are in our day-to-day lives,
People: some of us are suffering, others cheerful and others among us are sick.
Minister: So we come, as we are, knowing that God meets us here, loves us as we are.
People: We come to pray, to sing songs of praise, to experience healing.
ALL: We worship the One who made us and our world, who bids us become salt and light for others. Praise God, Alleluia!
*HYMN 14 Sing Praise to God Who Reigns Above
*THE PRAYER OF THE DAY and THE LORD’S PRAYER (unison)
O God, you declare your almighty power chiefly in showing mercy and pity: Grant us the fullness of your grace, that we, running to obtain your promises, may become partakers of your heavenly treasure; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, and taught us to pray:
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
*THE GLORIA PATRI (Hymn 558)
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.

THE INVITATION TO SUNDAY SCHOOL
THE PSALMODY Psalm 124 sung to St. Anne
If God had not been on our side, To draw us underneath the flood,
When wars around us rose; Were God not at our side.
Who would have been the sure defense
Against our mortal foes? The Lord be praised, at whose right hand
Our enemies are stayed;
Their anger at our presence raged; Our lasting shield, the name of God,
Their wrath, a swelling tide, Who heaven and earth has made.
