THE CALL TO WORSHIP Mr. James Santelle
Liturgist: Give thanks to the Lord! Over the turbulent waves in our lives, Jesus calls us.
People: We get so busy watching the waves, we block out Jesus’ call. Yet we’re here to sing praise to God’s name!
Liturgist: The Lord has done wonderful things for us! Look again. Jesus is calling to us.
People: Lord, help us hear your voice. The Lord has heaped blessing upon blessing in our lives!
Liturgist: Come, sing, shout, place your trust in Jesus and give thanks to God.
ALL: Lord, forgive our doubts, receive our lives. In all our ways, we will continually thank God forever. AMEN.

*HYMN 7 Praise to the Lord, the Almighty

*THE PRAYER OF THE DAY and THE LORD’S PRAYER (unison)

Lord, we gather to offer you the worship and praise that are due to you alone, for you are our Creator and we your creatures. We come to you this day, seeking your healing and restoring love. Give us courage to reach out to you in the good and easy times as well as in the times of strain and stress. Open our hearts to receive your message of peace and hope. We worship and pray in Jesus’ Name, who taught us to say:

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

*THE GLORIA PATRI (Hymn 558)

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen, Amen.

THE INVITATION TO SUNDAY SCHOOL Rev. Robert J. Brink

THE PSALMODY Psalm 105 sung to Ellacombe
Sing songs of praise and thanks to God, Remember well when God’s elect
Who wondrous deeds has done; In bondage bore the chains,
By whose design was life ordained, Endured the test of faith and won
God’s strength, the battle won. God’s favor yet again.

The judgments of the LORD are just; These slaves, redeemed through true belief,
Earth moves beneath God’s voice; The tyrant’s rod destroyed;
The righteous glory in God’s might, They claimed the blessings of the land
And faithful hearts rejoice. Which masters once enjoyed.
