*HYMN 300 O God, beneath Thy Guiding Hand

*PRAYER OF INVOCATION and THE LORD’S PRAYER (unison)

God of our mothers and our fathers, God of our heritage and of our hope, we open ourselves now to your ever-presence. Break through the little brittle truths we have set up for ourselves and open us to your glorious truth: that you are a living God and you gather us this day as your living church. Transform our minds, enliven our hearts and strengthen our hands to more faithfully follow our master and Lord Christ Jesus, who taught us to pray:

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

*GLORIA PATRI (Hymn 558)

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen, Amen.
