CALL TO WORSHIP [from Psalm 30] - Rev. Samuel R. Schaal

Minister: I will praise you, O God, for you lifted me up and have given my enemies no cause to rejoice.
People: Hearing my cries for help, you healed me;
Minister: bringing me from the very depths of hell, you restored my life.
People: Let all faithful people give thanks and praise God’s holy name.
Minister: O God, your anger lasts but a moment, while your graciousness lasts a lifetime.
People: Weeping lingers for a night, but joy comes with the morning.
Minister: You have turned my mourning into dancing
People: removing my sackcloth, you clothe me with joy.
Minister: May our praise never be silenced as we give thanks and praise God for ever and ever.
People: The Lord’s Name be praised! Alleluia!

*PRAYER OF THE DAY AND THE LORD’S PRAYER (unison)
We praise you, O God, for restoring to life your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Through his great love, woundedness is healed and mercy experienced as lives are transformed with his resurrected life and power. His victory over sin and death gives us the confidence to move from sorrow to joy, from mourning to dancing so that we may grow and deepen in your love. We praise you and adore you, O God, for your graciousness towards us. Help us to hear your Word, to answer your call and be your people. May we live what we pray when we say…

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

*CONGREGATIONAL RESPONSE
Go now in peace. Never be afraid.
God will go with you each hour of every day.
Go now in faith, steadfast, strong and true.
Know He will guide you in all you do.

Go now in love, and show you believe.
Reach out to others so all the world can see.
God will be there, watching from above.
Go now in peace, in faith, and in love.

The Pilgrim Choir Anthem 8:45 AM

Soft Light Of Morning
Robert Leaf

Soft light of morning, speak gently to my soul,
Let your light reveal God's splendor.
Soft sounds of morning, speak gently to my soul,
Speak that I may hear God's salient truth.
Light of morning lift darkness from my soul,
Speak of good and of His splendor
and with new light reveal to me God.
Soft light of morning, lighten my weary soul
That I may share God's peace.

The Chancel Choir Anthem 11:00 AM

Make Me and Instrument of Thy Peace
Francis of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;

Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there's despairing need, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;

O Master, grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled, as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
It is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where thereis doubt, faith;
Where there is sadness, joy,
Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace,
an instrument of thy love;
Peace and love.
