CALL
TO WORSHIP Rev.
Samuel R. Schaal
Liturgist: Jesus
said, “You did not choose me, but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and
bear fruit,
fruit that will last.”
People: We
come to worship and to bear fruit, as the Lord’s chosen and free people.
Liturgist: The
Lord who chose us meets us here and invites us to Divine oneness.
ALL: God,
of your goodness, give us Yourself, for only in You have we all.

*CHORAL CALL TO WORSHIP
*PRAYER
OF INVOCATION AND THE LORD’S PRAYER (unison)
Great
and loving God, your will for us in Jesus is the peace which the world cannot
give; your
abiding gift is the Advocate he
promised. Calm all troubled hearts, dispel every fear. Keep us
steadfast in love and faithful to
your word, that we may always be your dwelling place. Grant
this through Jesus Christ, the
firstborn from the dead, who lives with you now and always in the
unity of the Holy Spirit, who
taught us to say:
Our Father who art in
heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done, on
earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our
debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not
into temptation, but
deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the
glory, forever. Amen.

THE PSALMODY Psalm
98 sung
to ‘Beach Spring’
Sing new songs to God Almighty,
Marvel
at God’s majesty!
In the face of foes around us
God
has brought us victory!
Nations all shall see God’s
promise,
Love
endure and faith prevail;
Evermore will God be gracious
To
the house of Israel.
Joyful songs of praise and honor
Earth
shall sing with one accord;
Horn and trumpet raise a mighty
Shout
of tribute to our Lord!
Seas and floods rejoice with
gladness,
All
the earth God’s gifts profess:
Endless grace conceived in mercy,
Justice
born in righteousness.

Thy throne, O God is forever and ever;

Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the
earth;
and the heavens are the works of Thine hands;
by Thee were all things created that are in heaven
and that are in earth, visible, and invisible.
All things were created by Thee, and for Thee.
All the heavens are the works of Thine hands.
