Liturgist: This
is the good news—the grave is empty; Christ is risen.
All: Hallelujah!
This is the good news—
the
light shines in the darkness,
and
the darkness can never put it out.
Liturgist: Hallelujah!
This is the good news—
once
we were no people; now we are God’s people.
All: Hallelujah!
Christ is our peace,
the
indestructible peace we now share with each other.
Hallelujah!

Rev.

God of glory, fill
your church with the power that flows from Christ’s resurrection, that, in the
midst of the sinful world, it may
signal the beginning of a renewed humanity, risen to new life
with Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God,
forever and ever and
who taught us to pray in
confidence:
Our Father who art in
heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done, on
earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our
debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not
into temptation, but
deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the
glory, forever. Amen.

THE ANTHEM Lift
High the Cross Nicholson
(refrain) Lift high the cross,
the love of Christ proclaim
till all the world adore his sacred name.
Come Christians, follow where our captain trod,
our king victorious, Christ, the Son of God. (refrain)
Led on their way by this triumphant sign,
the hosts of God in conquering ranks combine. (refrain)
All newborn soldiers of the Crucified
bear on their brows the seal of him who died. (refrain)
O Lord, once lifted on the glorious tree,
as thou hast promised, draw us all to thee. (refrain)
So shall our song of triumph ever be:
Praise to the Crucified for victory! (refrain)
