*PRAYER OF INVOCATION AND LORD’S PRAYER (unison)

Everlasting God, in whom we live and move and have our being, you have made us for

 yourself, so that our hearts are restless until they rest in you. Give us purity of heart and

 strength of purpose, that no selfish passion may hinder us from knowing your will, no

weakness keep us from doing it; that in your light we may see light clearly, and in your

 service find perfect freedom; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with

 you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever and taught us to pray:

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come,

Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread;

and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not

into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom,

and the power, and the glory, forever.  Amen.

CALL TO PRAYER and SILENT MEDITATION

PRAYER OF MINISTER AND PEOPLE

THE OFFERTORY

THE ANTHEM                         I Sing the Mighty Power of God                                        Harlan

Isaac Watts 1674 – 1748

I sing the mighty pow'r of God,

that made the mountains rise,

That spread the flowing seas abroad,

and built the lofty skies.

I sing the wisdom that ordained

the sun to rule the day;

The moon shines full at his command,

and all the stars obey.

I sing the goodness of the Lord,

that filled the earth with food;

He formed the creatures with his word,

and then pronounced them good.

Lord, how thy wonders are displayed,

where'er I turn my eye,

If I survey the ground I tread,

or gaze upon the sky!

There's not a plant or flow'r below,

but makes thy glories known;

And clouds arise, and tempests blow,

by order from they throne;

While all that borrows life from thee

is ever in they care,

and everywhere that man can be,

Thou, God, art present there.

THE RESPONSE                      We Give Thee But Thine Own                                   Hymn 535

We give thee but thine own,

Whate’er the gift may be;

All that we have is thine alone, A trust,

O Lord, from thee. Amen.
