CALL TO WORSHIP

Liturgist:    We come as a reformed people, let us practice what we have been taught:

People:     That burdens shared are burdens lifted.

Liturgist:    Let us practice what we have been taught:

People:     That our outward deeds are witness to our inwards hearts.

Liturgist:    Let us practice what we have been taught:

People:     That we are a family, equally sisters and brothers of our brother, Jesus.

ALL:         We come to celebrate and practice the faith we share with Luther, Calvin,
Penry, Barrow, Browne, and Robinson and with one another. Alleluia!

*CHORAL CALL TO WORSHIP

*PRAYER OF INVOCATION AND THE LORD’S PRAYER (unison)

Holy God: Graciously inform and assist our worship so that it may be acceptable to you.
Fill us with the spirit of the great reformers of the church. Revive our awareness of their
contributions, faith and zeal. Help us worthily to celebrate their witness and vision. Grant
us keen sight that we may be true to the faith in which we stand and the covenant which
binds us together. Reform your Son’s church, O God, beginning with us, both individually
and as a congregation. In the name of the boldest reformer and truest servant, Jesus Christ,
 who taught us to pray:

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come,

Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread;

and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not

into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom,

and the power, and the glory, forever.  Amen.

H.W.F. Edited by A.T.D.

O King of Kings, Lord Almighty,

Hear us Lord, Father Most Holy!

Build Thee More Stately Mansions

Oliver Wendell HoLmes

Build thee more stately mansions,

O my soul!

As the swift seasons roll!

Leave thy lowvaulted past!

Let each new temple, nobler than the last,

Shut thee from heaven with a dome more vast,

Till thou at length art free,

Leaving thine outgrown shell by life's unresting sea!

Build thee more stately mansions,

O my soul!
