THE LORD’S PRAYER (unison)
Almighty and
everlasting God, in Christ you have revealed your glory among the nations.
Preserve the works of your mercy, that your church throughout the world may
persevere
with steadfast faith in the confession of your name showing forth your love in
every action;
through Jesus Christ our Lord who showed us the way of love and taught us to
pray:
Our Father who art in
heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done, on
earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our
debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not
into temptation, but
deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the
glory, forever. Amen.

Go now in peace. Never be
afraid. God will go with you each hour of every day.
Go now in faith, steadfast, strong and true. Know He will guide you in all you

Go now in love, and show
you believe. Reach out to others so all the world can see.
God will be there,
watching from above. Go now in peace, in faith, and in love.

Welcome to all visitors joining us today. Please check the welcome tables in the atrium for information about our church.
For those who wear a hearing aid, our Nave is equipped with an FM loop system. Simply set your hearing aid to the “T” setting.
In addition to the loop system, there is a new hearing assistance system installed in the Nave, which can amplify the worship service with the use of a receiver and headset. The headset is not usable with a hearing aid. If you would like to try this system, please ask for a receiver/headset at the church office.
Retired Men’s Club of Wauwatosa will be meeting October 18 at 9 a.m. in the Social Hall. Paul Haubrick will be presenting “Stories That Forest Home Cemetery Has to Tell.”
The Annual Fall Work Day is scheduled for October 29 from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Please come as your schedule permits. There is plenty of cleaning to be done inside and outside the building! Children are welcome. Childcare will be available if we know in advance. Sign up in the atrium today or in the church office.
The Board of Stewardship will be hosting a special coffee hour, following the first service, on Sunday, October 30 in the Social Hall. Celebrate the culmination of 6 weeks of study about our Covenant on “Commitment Sunday.” Rev. Peay will share thoughts of this day. After the second service, there will be a similar gathering in the Friendship Lounge.
All Saints Sunday Roll of Remembrance will take place on November 6. A rose will be presented in commemoration of the person’s life who has passed away this year. If you have someone you want recognized during the service, please contact the church office at 414-258-7375.
Dessert and Sweet Thanksgiving Memories will take place November 9, 6:30 p.m. in the Social Hall. Sign up at the welcome table. There is no cost but bring a photo, object or memory that you are thankful for which you would like to share.
Our amended Bylaws provide for a Program Meeting at which the members shall review the program of the Church for the Church year. To avoid conflict with our Covenant Renewal Classes, the Program Meeting will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in the Social Hall. Please make every effort to attend.
Circle 13 meets November 18 at 6:30 p.m. for a Snack & Chat followed by a Book Club meeting, discussing “Pope Joan” by Donna Cross, at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Jennifer Wareham. All interested women welcome. Contact Jennifer at 262-827-9992.

Here I Am,
Lord
Isaiah 6:8,
Dan Schutte
I, the Lord of
sea and sky, I have heard my people cry.
All who dwell
in dark and sin my hand will save.
I who made
the stars of night, I will make their darkness bright.
Who will bear
my light to them? Whom shall I send?
Here I am,
Lord. Is it I, Lord? I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go,
Lord, if you lead me. I will hold your people in my heart.
I, the Lord
of snow and rain, I have borne my people's pain.
I have wept
for love of them. They turn away.
I will break
their hearts of stone, give them hearts for love alone.
I will speak
my word to them. Whom shall I send?
Here I am,
Lord. Is it I, Lord? I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go,
Lord, if you lead me. I will hold your people in my heart.
I, the Lord
of wind and flame, I will tend the poor and lame.
I will set a
feast for them, my hand will save.
Finest bread
I will provide, till their hearts be satisfied.
I will give
my life to them. Whom shall I send?
Here I am,
Lord. Is it I, Lord? I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go,
Lord, if you lead me. I will hold your people in my heart.

Lord,
Teach Us How To Pray
Gordon Young
Lord, teach
us how to pray,
How to do our
Father's will,
Teach us how
to find the way,
Help us now
to find the door to the kingdom of God.
Lord bring us
closer, closer to Thee;
Lord ever
closer, ever close to Thee.
Lord, teach
us how to pray,
How to do our
Father's will,
Teach us how
to find the way,
Help us now
to find the door to the kingdom of God.
Sing Praise
To God
Johann J.
Shutz 1640-1690
Sing praise
to God who reigns above,
The God of
all creation,
The God of
power, the God of love,
The God of
our salvation.
With healing
balm my soul He fills
And every
faithless murmur stills.
To God all
praise and glory.
What God's
almighty power hath made
His gracious
mercy keepeth.
By morning
glow or evening shade
His watchful
eye never sleepeth.
Within the
kingdom of His might,
Lo, all is
just and all is right.
To God all
praise and glory.
The Lord is
never far away,
But, through
all grief distressing,
An ever
present help and stay,
Our peace and
joy and blessing.
As with a
mother's tender hand
He leads his
own, His chosen band.
To God all
praise and glory.
Thus all my
toilsome way along
I shall sing
aloud Thy praises,
That men may
hear the grateful song
My unwearied
voice now raises.
Be joyful in
the Lord, O my heart;
Both soul and
body bear your part.
To God all
praise and glory. Amen.
