*PRAYER OF INVOCATION AND THE LORD’S PRAYER (unison)

Merciful God, in Jesus Christ you do not call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
 Draw us away from the easy road that leads to destruction, and guide us into paths that
 lead to life abundant, that in seeking your truth, and obeying your will, we may know the
 joy of being a disciple of Jesus Christ our Savior, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
 and taught us to call to you saying:

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come,

Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread;

and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not

into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom,

and the power, and the glory, forever.  Amen.

God will be there, watching from above. Go now in peace, in faith, and in love.

O Give Thanks to the Lord

Based on Psalm 100, Mary Kay Beall

O give thanks to the Lord!

Serve Him gladly, sing His praise.

God will bless us all our days.

O give thanks to the Lord!

The Lord is God; He made us,

We are His people.

The Lord is God, and He made us.

We belong to Him!

O give thanks to the Lord!

Enter His gates with thanksgiving,

And His courts with praise.

Bless His holy name.

O give thanks to the Lord!

Serve Him gladly, sing His praise.

God will bless us all our days.

O give thanks to the Lord!

The Morning Trumpet

John Leland

Oh, when shall I see Jesus and reign with Him above?

And shall hear the trumpet sound in the morning?

And from the flowing fountain drink everlasting love?

And shall hear the trumpet sound in the morning?

And shout, Oh Glory, I shall mount above the skies,

When I hear the trumpet sound in the morning!

But now I am a soldier, my Captain's gone before;

He has given me my orders and bids me ne'er give o'er,

His promises are faithful, A righteous crown He'll give,

And all His valiant soldiers eternally shall live.

And shout, Oh Glory, I shall mount above the skies,

When I hear the trumpet sound in the morning!

Through grace I feel determined to conquer tho' I die

and then away to Jesus on wings of love I'll fly.

Farewell to sin and sorrow, I bid them both adieu!

And oh, my friends prove faithful and on your way pursue.

And shout, Oh Glory, I shall mount above the skies,

when I hear the trumpet sound in the morning!

Oh, do not be discouraged for Jesus is your friend,

and if you lack for knowledge, He'll not refuse to lend,

Nor will He upbraid you tho' often you request;

He will give you grace to conquer and take you home to rest.

And shout, Oh, Glory, I shall mount above the skies,

when I hear the trumpet sound in the morning!
