PRAYER (unison)
O God, in mystery and
silence you are present in our lives, bringing new life out of destruction,
hope out of despair, growth out of difficulty. We thank you that you do not
leave us alone but labor to make us whole. Help us to perceive your unseen hand
in the unfolding of our lives, and to attend to the gentle guidance of your
Spirit, that we may know the joy you give your people. We pray these things in
the name of the one who taught us to prayÉ
Our Father who art in
heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done, on
earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our
debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not
into temptation, but
deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the
glory, forever. Amen.

Go now in peace. Never be afraid.
God will go with you each hour of every day.
Go now in faith, steadfast,
strong and true. Know He will guide you in all you do.
Go now in love, and show you
believe. Reach out to others so all the world can see.
God will be there, watching from
above. Go now in peace, in faith, and in love.

Lord, My God, Hear Now My Pleading
English translation by Lloyd Pfautsch
Lord, my God, hear now my pleading,
turn your gracious ear to me.
As I ask of you, my helper,
nevermore my sins to see,
nevermore my sins to see.
Will my sins forever hold me?
Must I bow before my fear?
Weak and helpless, I beseech you
let your grace be always near.
Lord, my God, hear now my pleading,
turn your gracious ear to me.
As I ask of you, my helper,
nevermore my sins to see,
nevermore my sins to see.
Worship The Lord
John S. B. Monsell, 1863
Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness,
bow down before him, his glory proclaim;
gold of obedience and incense of lowliness,
Kneel and adore him the Lord is his Name.
Low at his feet lay thy burden of carefulness,
high on his heart he will bear it for thee;
comfort thy sorrows and answer thy prayerfulness,
guiding thy steps as may best for thee be.
Truth in its beauty, and love in its tenderness,
these are the offerings we lay on His shrine.
These, though we bring them in trembling and fearfulness,
he will accept for the Name all divine. Amen.
