TO WORSHIP Jennifer

Liturgist: Long ago, Jesus prayed for
us.
People: Though
he left us, he is here, caring for us today.
Liturgist: Long ago, Jesus died and rose
from the dead; he ascended into heaven.
People: Though he died, yet he
lives, guiding us today.
Liturgist: Long
ago, a cloud took Jesus from our sight, and around his life
the
church gathered.
People: Again
today we gather as the community celebrating Jesus Christ,
the
beloved of God.

PRAYER (unison)
Abiding God, we
celebrate your living presence here.
You are the source of all human affection, that which bonds us to each
other. We praise you for the gift
of all relationships that nurture and sustain us. Our tongues grasp for words to describe you, Eternal God,
and today we know that you are divine love itself, Mother and Father to us
all. We especially praise you for
the gift of Jesus Christ, who taught us to pray:
Our Father who art in
heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done, on
earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our
debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not
into temptation, but
deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the
glory, forever. Amen.

Is God For Us
Romans 8:31-34
If God be for us, who can be against us?
He that spared not His Only Begotten Son Christ Jesus,
but hath sacrificed Him for us on Calvary's altar,
how shall He not with Him freely give us all things?
Who shall accuse, or who condemn the elect of God?
God is here, justifying, Jesus is here, Who hath died for us.
Who shall condemn us?
Yea, much more, He is risen from the dead,
and sitteth at God's right hand, praying for us. Hallelujah.
O Come, Let Us Sing Unto The Lord
Psalm 95:1-7
O come, let us sing to the Lord; let us heartily rejoice in the
strength of our salvation!
Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving; and show
ourselves glad in him with psalms.
For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
In his hand are the corners of the earth; and the strength of the
hills is his also.
The sea is his, and he made it; and his hands prepared the dry
land.
O come, let us worship and fall down, let us kneel before the Lord
our Maker.
For he is the Lord our God, and we are the people of his pasture,
and the sheep of his hand.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son; and to the Holy Ghost;
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be; world
without end. Amen.
Let Thy Glory Be My Music Plaide
Edward Taylor 1643-1729
In Heaven soaring up I dropt an eare to Earth
And oh and on Earth sweet melody.
And list'ning found it was the Saints
Who were encoacht for Heav'n
They sang for joy for in Christ's coach
they sweetly sing as they therein to Glory ride.
In Faith, Hope, and Charity Ōtis that I do say
That thou has been with me on Earth below
And I shall be with thee in Heav'n above.
Be thou musician Lord
Let me be made the well-tuned instrument thou dost assume
And let they glory be my music plaide
Then let thy spirit keep my strings in tune
Whilst thou art here with me on earth below.
Til I sing praise with thee in Heav'n above.
American folk Hymn attributed to Alexander Means
What wondrous love is this, O my soul, O my soul!
What wondrous love is this, O my soul!
What wondrous love is this that caused the Lord of bliss
To bear the dreadful curse for my soul, for my soul,
To bear the dreadful curse for my soul.
To God and to the Lamb, I will sing, I will sing;
To God and to the Lamb, I will sing.
To God and to the Lamb Who is the great ŅI Am;Ó
While millions join the theme, I will sing, I will sing;
While millions join the theme, I will sing.
And when from death IÕm free, IÕll sing on, IÕll sing on;
And when from death IÕm free, IÕll sing on.
And when from death IÕm free, IÕll sing and joyful be;
And through eternity, IÕll sing on, IÕll sing on;
And through eternity, IÕll sing on.
Lord, Thou Hast Been Our Refuge
Psalm 90
Lord, Thou hast been our refuge from one generation to another.
Before the mountains were brought forth or ever the earth and the
world were made,
thou art God from everlasting and world without end.
Thou turnest man to destruction again
Thou sayest Come again ye children of men
For a thousand years in Thy sight are but as yesterday, seeing
that is past as a watch in the night.
As soon as Thou scatterest them
They are even as a sleep and fade away suddenly like the grass.
In the morning it is green and groweth up, but in the evening it
is cut down dried up and withered.
For we consume away in Thy displeasure, and are afraid at Thy
wrathful indignation.
For when Thou art angry all our days are gone; we bring our years
to an end as a tale that is told,
The years of our age are three score years and ten,
and though men be so strong that they come to fourscore years, yet
is their strength but labour and sorrow.
Turn Thee again O Lord at the last.
Be gracious unto Thy servants, O satisfy us with Thy mercy and
that soon,
So shall we rejoice and be glad all the days of our life.
Lord, Thou hast been our refuge from one generation to another.
Before the mountains were brought forth or ever the earth and the
world were made,
thou art God from everlasting and world without end.
And the glorious Majesty of the Lord be upon us.
Prosper Thou, the work of our hands, O prosper thou our handiwork.
