CALL
TO WORSHIP
Liturgist: Summon the people who, though
blind, clearly see; send for the people who,
though
deaf, plainly hear!
People: Let
all of the nations gather together; let all peoples assemble to worship
the
Lord.
Liturgist: From the East God will bring
forth our brothers,
People: From the West God will
muster our sisters;
Liturgist: God will order the North,
ÒGive up my children,Ó
People: God will say to the
South, ÒWithhold no one from me.Ó
All: All
were created for the glory of heaven. God fashioned them all from
the clay of the earth. Let the
nations assemble; let them gather together! Praise the
Lord on the summit of God!

PRAYER (unison)
Rev. Samuel Schaal
O God, your Son made
himself known to his disciples in the breaking of bread.
Open the eyes of our
faith, that we may see him in his redeeming work; who is alive and
reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, and who taught us to pray:
Our Father who art in
heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done, on
earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our
debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. For
Thine is the kingdom, and the
power, and the glory, forever.
Amen.

Choir Anthems
Pilgrim Choir 8:45
Chancel Choir 11:00
Isaiah 57:19, Phillipians 4:7
Give us peace, O God, peace to the near and the far.
Come and heal us of all of our sin; give us true peace in our
hearts.
Give us peace, Lord, give us peace.
Give us love, O Lord, love everlasting and true;
love that reaches the heart of our need, love to restore and
renew.
Give us love, Lord, give us love.
Peace which passes all understanding, love to fill our hearts and
minds.
Love and peace through our precious Savior, through Christ Jesus
our Lord.
Give us peace, Lord, give us peace!
Trust in the Lord
Proverbs 3:5,6
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart,
And lean not, unto thine own understanding:
In all thy ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct thy paths.
New every morning is the love
our wakening and uprising prove;
through sleep and darkness safely brought, restored to life and
power and thought.
New mercies each returning day,
around us hover while we pray;
new peril past, new sins forgiven,
new thoughts of God, new hopes of heaven.
If on our daily course our mind
be set to hallow all we find,
new treasures still, of countless price,
God will provide for sacrifice.
Old friends, old scenes, will lovelier be,
as more of heaven in each we see;
some softening gleam of love and prayer
shall dawn on every cross and care.
The trivial round, the common task,
will furnish all we ought to ask:
room to deny ourselves;
a road to bring us daily nearer God.
Only, O Lord, in thy dear love,
fit us for perfect rest above;
and help us this and every day,
to live more nearly as we pray.
Fight The Good Fight, J.S.B. Monsell, 1863
Fight the good fight with all thy might;
Christ is thy Strength, and Christ thy Right;
Lay hold on life, and it shall be
Thy joy and crown eternally.
Run the straight race through GodÕs good grace,
Lift up thine eyes, and seek His face;
Life with its way before us lies,
Christ is the Path, and Christ the Prize.
Cast care aside, lean on thy Guide,
His boundless mercy will provide;
Trust, and thy trusting soul shall prove
Christ is its Life, and Christ its Love.
Faint not nor fear, His arms are near,
He changeth not, and thou art dear.
Only believe, and thou shalt see
That Christ is all in all to thee.
