*PRAYER OF INVOCATION AND
LORDÕS PRAYER (unison)
Ever-present and
faithful God, we thank you that you are present and faithful even when we are
not. We ask you to be among us in this time of worship and through your free
Spirit lift our hearts and minds to you. We celebrate and rejoice in the
varieties of gifts you shower on those who follow you so that we may be
built-up and nourished in your presence. Receive our worship and our thanks as
we pray the prayer Jesus taught usÉ
Our Father who art in
heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done, on
earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our
debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver
us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Jesus Walked This Lonesome Valley
Traditional
Jesus walked this lonesome valley;
He had to walk it by himself.
Oh, nobody else could walk it for him;
He had to walk it by himself.
Jesus prayed for his disciples;
He prayed alone for you and me.
Oh, nobody else could bear such sorrow,
He prayed alone for you and me.
Jesus died on Calv'ry's mountain;
He died alone for you and me.
Oh, nobody else could die for sinners;
He had to die for you and me.
Jesus rose from death's dark prison;
He lives again for you and me,
Oh, nobody else could bring us victory;
He is alive to set us free!
I Will Arise and Go To Jesus
American Folk Hymn
I will arise and go to Jesus, He will embrace me in His arms;
In the arms of my dear Saviour, Oh, there are ten thousand charms.
Come, ye sinners, poor and needy, Weak and wounded, sick and sore;
Jesus ready stands to save you, Full of pity, love, and power.
Come, ye thirsty, come, and welcome, God's free bounty glorify;
True belief and true repentance, Every grace that brings you nigh.
My Song Is Love Unknown
Samuel Crossman 1624-1683
My song is love unknown,
My SaviorÕs love to me;
Love to the loveless shown,
That they might lovely be.
O who am I, that for my sake
My Lord should take, frail flesh and die?
Sometimes they strew His way,
And His sweet praises sing;
Resounding all the day
Hosannas to their King:
Then ÒCrucify!Ó is all their breath,
And for His death they thirst and cry.
Why, what hath my Lord done?
What makes this rage and spite?
He made the lame to run,
He gave the blind their sight,
Sweet injuries! Yet they at these
Themselves displease, and Õgainst Him rise.
Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise
W.C. Smith
Immortal, invisible, God only wise,
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes,
Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days,
Almighty, victorious, Thy great name we praise.
Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light,
Nor wanting, nor wasting, Thou rulest in might;
Thy Justice like mountains high soaring above
Thy clouds which are fountains of goodness and love.
To all, life Thou givest to both great and small;
In all life Thou livest, the true life of all;
We blossom and flourish as leaves on the tree,
And wither and perish but nought changeth Thee.
Great Father of Glory, pure Father of Light,
Thine Angels adore Thee, all veiling their sight;
All laud we would render: O help us to see
'Tis only the splendour of light hideth Thee. Amen.
