PRAYER (unison)
Infinite God, your Son
has opened for us a new and living way into your presence. Give us pure hearts
and steadfast wills as we unite to worship you in spirit and in truth and in
community, through the same Jesus Christ our Lord, who taught us to prayÉ
Our Father who art in
heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done, on
earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our
debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver
us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Guide Me,
O Thou Great Jehovah
William
Williams
Guide me, O
Thou great Jehovah,
Pilgrim
through this barren land;
I am weak,
but Thou art mighty;
Hold me with
Thy powerful hand;
Bread of
heaven
Feed me till
I want no more.
Open now the
crystal fountain,
Whence the
healing stream doth flow;
Let the fire
and cloudy pillar
Lead me all
my journey through;
Strong
Deliverer
Be Thou still
my strength and shield.
When I tread the
verge of Jordan,
Bid my
anxious fears subside;
Bear me
through the swelling current,
Land me safe
on Canaan's side;
Songs of
praises I will ever give to Thee.
Bestow Thy
Spirit Upon Us
Primer of
1559
O Lord Jesus
Christ,
in all the
fullness of Thy power most gentle,
in Thy
exceeding greatness most humble,
bestow Thy
mind and spirit upon us
who have
nothing whereof to boast;
that, clothed
in true humility,
we may be
exalted to true greatness.
Grant this, O
Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and Spirit,
one God
forevermore. Amen.
Worship
The Lord
John S. B.
Monsell, 1863
Worship the
Lord in the beauty of holiness, bow down before him, his glory proclaim; gold
of obedience and incense of lowliness, Kneel and adore him the Lord is his
Name.
Low at his
feet lay thy burden of carefulness, high on his heart he will bear it for thee;
comfort thy sorrows and answer thy prayerfulness, guiding thy steps as may best
for thee be.
Truth in its
beauty, and love in its tenderness, these are the offerings we lay on His
shrine.
These, though
we bring them in trembling and fearfulness, he will accept for the Name all
divine. Amen.
