*INVOCATION AND LORDÕS
PRAYER (unison)
O God, giver of all
things, thank you for life, for blessings, and for hope in you.
We apologize for
forgetting to thank you for the good things, which have been given to us by
you. Forgive us and fill us with your grace. For this we are grateful and offer
our praise and thanks. In your SonÕs name we pray the prayer he taught usÉ
Our Father who art in
heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done, on
earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our
debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not
into temptation, but
deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the
glory, forever. Amen.

Lovelace
Awake, awake to love and work
The lark is in the sky.
The fields are wet with diamond dew,
The worldÕs awake to cry their blessings on the
Lord of Life,
As he goes meekly by.
Come let thy voice be one with theirs,
Shout with their shout of praise.
See how the giant sun soars up,
Great Lord of years and days.
So let the love of Jesus come and set thy soul
ablaze.
To give and give and give again,
What God has given thee.
To spend thyself nor count the cost,
To serve right gloriously.
The Gods who gave all worlds that are,
And all that are to be.
Expectans Expectavi
C. H. Sorley
This sanctuary of my soul,
Unwitting I keep white and whole,
Unlatched and lit, if Thou should'st
care
To enter or to tarry there.
With parted lips and outstretched
hands
And listening ears Thy servant stands.
Call Thou early, call Thou late,
To Thy great service dedicate.
My soul, keep white, and whole.
Without Love
I Corinthians 13
Without love every voice is but noise.
Without love every good is but gone.
Without love every faith is but folly.
Without love, hope can't go on.
Without love we are nothing.
Love is patient and kind,
love is humble of mind,
love is honest and clearly defined.
Love is caring and pure,
love is open and sure,
love will always endure.
God is love, love is God.
Without love every voice is but noise.
Lord of All Being
Oliver Wendell Holmes
Lord of all being, throned afar,
Thy glory flames from sun and star;
Centre and soul of every sphere,
Yet to each loving heart how near!
Sun of our life, thy quickening ray
Sheds on our path the glow of day;
Star of our hope, thy softened light
Cheers the long watches of the night.
Lord of all life, below, above,
Whose warmth is love,
Before thy ever blazing throne
We ask no lustre of our own.
Grant us thy truth to make us free,
And kindling hearts that burn for Thee
Till all thy living altars claim.
One holy light, one heavenly flame.
