CHORAL FANFARE

*HYMN 36

New Every Morning is the Love

*INVOCATION AND LORDÕS PRAYER (unison)

We lift our prayers, to you O God, who created all things. In the words of the Psalms you have promised protection to those who love you. Through the words of 1 Timothy you remind us to focus on you and not the distractions of our world. Forgive us for our inability to always love or to always center our lives on you. Please cover us with your grace that we may try again in the hope and faith provided to us through your son,

who taught us to prayÉ

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come,

Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread;

and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not

into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom,

and the power, and the glory, forever.  Amen.

Choir Anthems

Pilgrim Choir    8:45, Chancel Choir 11:00

Heaven, Peace and Joy!, Earnest Hargrove

No heaven can come to us unless our hearts find rest in it today.

No peace lies in the future that is not hidden in this present instant.

The gloom of the world is but a shadow. Behind it, yet within reach is joy.

Take heaven, take peace, take joy!

Hymn of Triumph, Craig Curry

Come and raise a hymn of triumph! Songs of praise to Christ we bring!

Let us lift our joyful voices in thanksgiving to our King!

Young and old, praise Him together! Come and bow before His throne!

All creation, give Him honor! Praise our God, and Him alone!

God, our Father, we adore You, You have put the stars in place.

You have sent Your Son from heaven to redeem the human race.

Christ, our Savior, Lamb of Glory, we adore Your, Precious Son!

Breath of God, the Holy Spirit, we adore You, Three in One!

O, let all within us praise You, Lord, we magnify Your name!

You have rescued us from evil, freeing us from sing and shame!

With rejoicing we acclaim You! Raising hear and voice and hand!

We sing out Your hymn of triumph! By Your grace alone we stand!

Because You Are God's Chosen Ones, Col. 3:12-17

Because you are God's chosen ones, because you are kept in his care:

Clothe yourselves with mercy and kindness, humility, meekness and prayer.

Bear with one another, forgive one another, forgive as the Lord forgives you.

Over all these put on garments of love which will make your life over anew.

Christ's peace must reign in you;

Christ's word ordain in you;

Christ's love remain in your hearts.

Thanks be to God, and to Him give all praises; Pledge all to Him, who to new life upraises. By wisdom made perfect, instruct one another;

Sing hymns to the Lord from your hearts.

In all speech and action give thanks unto God, who to you all his blessings imparts.

On Eagle's Wings, Psalm 91

You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord,

who abide in His shadow for life,

Say to the Lord, "My refuge, my Rock in whom I trust!"

And He will raise you upon eagle's wings,

bear you on the breath of dawn,

make you to shine like the sun

and hold you in the palm of His hand.

The snare of the fowler will never capture you, and the famine will being you no fear, Under His wings your refuge,

His faithfulness your shield.

And He will raise you upon eagle's wings,

bear you on the breath of dawn,

make you to shine like the sun

and hold you in the palm of His hand.

You need not fear the terror of the night,

nor the arrow that flies by day,

Though thousands fall about you,

but near you it will not come;

And He will raise you upon eagle's wings,

bear you on the breath of dawn,

make you to shine like the sun

and hold you in the palm of His hand.

For to His angels He's given a command,

they shall guard you in all of your ways

upon their hands they will bear you up,

lest you break your foot against a stone.

And He will raise you upon eagle's wings,

bear you on the breath of dawn,

make you to shine like the sun

and hold you in the palm of His hand.
