Christ There Is No East or West
*PRAYER OF INVOCATION AND
LORDŐS PRAYER (Unison)
Gracious God, we
gather to worship you. Your Son has opened for us a new and living way into
your presence, a new way of being in the world with our neighbors, our brothers
and sisters. Give us pure hearts and steadfast wills so that we might love you
with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our strength and with all our
mind. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord, who taught us to pray, sayingÉ
Our Father who art in
heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done, on
earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our
debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver
us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
