CHORAL FANFARE

*HYMN 101              ThereÕs a Wideness in GodÕs Mercy

*INVOCATION AND LORDÕS PRAYER (unison)

Gracious God, we pray to be filled with the joy of your presence. Turn us from a craving for the things of this world to a hunger for that which satisfies forever. Turn us from a false peace with this world to a true communion with Christ. Help us to see, amid all the worldÕs brutality, that you are here, that you sustain us, and that through Christ we might know perfect peace. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord, who taught us to pray, sayingÉ

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come,Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.  Amen.

God Who Touchest Earth With Beauty

Mary S. Edgar

God who touchest earth with beauty,

Make me lovely too.

With Thy spirit recreate me,

Make my heart anew,

Like Thy springs and running waters

Make me crystal pure.

Like Thy rocks of towering grandeur,

Make me strong and sure.

Like Thy dancing waves in sunlight

Make me glad and free.

Like the straightness of the pine trees

Let me upright be.

Like the arching of the heavens,

Lift my thoughts above.

God who touchest earth with beauty

Make me lovely too.

Keep me ever by Thy spirit

Pure and strong and true.

God who touchest earth with beauty,

Make me lovely too. Amen.

Praise To The Lord

Joachim Neander

Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation!

O my soul, praise Him, for He is thy strength and salvation!

All ye who hear, now to His temple draw near;

Join me in glad adoration.

Praise to the Lord, Who doth prosper thy work and defend thee;

Surely His goodness and mercy here daily attend thee.

Ponder anew what the Almighty can do,

If with His love He befriend thee.

Praise to the Lord, O let all that is in me adore Him!

All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before Him.

Let the Amen sound from His people again,

Gladly for aye we adore Him!
