Liturgist: Jesus

People: That we
love one another as he loved us.
Liturgist: So
let us come to worship together,
People: And
learn to love, as we have been loved.
CHORAL FANFARE
*HYMN 66 For
the Beauty of the Earth
*INVOCATION
AND LORDÕS PRAYER (unison)
God
of love, Lord of creation, Source of life, we come together on this day to
remember the one who has given us earthly life and to praise you for that gift.
We acknowledge that all that is good comes from you and we praise you for the
relationships that nurture and sustain us. As you have been faithful in loving
us, demonstrating that love through Jesus, so make us faithful in bearing your
love to the world in words and actions. Words cannot describe you, O God, but
in our hearts we know that you are Mother and Father to us all and so we pray,
as your Son taughtÉ
Our
Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be
done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive
our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For
Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Fairest
Lord Jesus, Ruler of Creation,
Son of
God and Son of man.
Truly
IÕd love Thee, Truly IÕd serve Thee,
Light of
my soul, my joy and crown.
Fair are
the meadows, Fairer still the woodlands,
Robed in
the flowÕrs of blooming spring.
Jesus is
fairer, Jesus is purer,
He makes
the sorrowing spirit sing.
Beautiful
savior, Ruler of the nations!
Son of
God and Son of man.
Glory
and honor, praise adoration,
Now and
forever more be thine.
Jean Anne Shafferman
To evÕrything there is a season,
For evÕrything God has a plan,
A time to speak, a time for silence,
A time to mourn and a time to dance!
To evÕrything there is a season,
For evÕrything God has a plan,
A time to plant, a time for harvest,
A time to cry and a time to laugh!
O Lord, we praise You, Creator, Redeemer,
Power and glory and riches are Yours
We sing Your praise and Your glory together,
For now is the time to sing your Praise!
We join our voices in celebration.
In evÕry language we sing Your praise,
One voice, one message for evÕry nation:
Now is the time to tell Your story, Sing your glory!
To evÕrything there is a season,
For evÕrything God has a plan,
A time to speak, a time for silence,
A time to mourn and a time to dance!
To evÕrything there is a season,
For evÕrything God has a plan,
A time to speak, a time for silence.
Now is the time to sing GodÕs praise!
arr. John Ferguson
When in our music God is glorified,
And adoration leaves no room for pride,
It is as though the whole creation cried,
ŅAlleluia!Ó
Alleluia, Alleluia,
A new Alleluia,
In music new sound,
As worship moved us to Alleluia!
So has the Church, in liturgy and song,
In faith and love, through centuries of wrong,
Bore witness to the truth in every tongue:
Alleluia!
And Jesus sang that night
When evil strove against the Light.
Then let us sing,
Then sing for whom he won the fight:
Alleluia!
Let every instrument be tuned for praise!
Let all rejoice who have a voice to raise!
And may God give us faith to sing always:
ŅAlleluia!Ó
George Mabry
Father in HeavÕn I praise thy name
I praise thy name with sounding words of song;
With gladsome words aloud proclaim
That I to thee belong.
I see thy light, I feel thy wind;
The world is all a sign;
Each thing that wakes my heart and mind,
My life and hope, is thine.
The living soul which I call me
Doth love and seek to know;
It is an utterance of thee,
Hidden in whom I grow.
Therefore I choose my highest part,
And turn my face to thee;
Therefore I stir my inmost heart
To worship fervently.
Within my heart, speak, Lord, speak on,
My heart alive to keep,
Till the night comes, and, labour done,
In thee I fall asleep.

Karanejo,
I am the
song of the stone,
Ancient
as light.
Hajona,
hajona, creation, I
I am the whisper of wind
That summons the rain.
My song made the seasons,
And rivers that quenched the sun,
I am the notch on cedar,
The sunset, sunset red as pipestone.
I am the
snow on the limb,
Fruit on
the vine.
I am the
stillness of night
Breaking
at dawn.
IÕm the music of creation,
The voice of ancient ways.
IÕm the footprint on the water,
The wind on eagleÕs wings.
Where the earth meets the sky,
There will my spirit be.
