People:  There are questions, there are hopes. We bring them with us today.

Liturgist:  And Jesus says, ÒPeace be with you.Ó For Christ is Risen!

*INVOCATION AND LORDÕS PRAYER (unison)

Almighty and eternal God, the strength of those who believe and the hope of those who doubt, may we, who have not seen, have faith and receive the fullness of ChristÕs blessing, who is alive and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever, and who taught us to prayÉ

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.  Amen.

Joy in the Morning

Natalie Sleeth

Joy, there'll be joy in the morning on that day.

For the daylight will dawn when the darkness is gone,

there'll be joy in the morning on that day.

There'll be peace evermore, there'll be peace and contentment evermore,

Every heart, every voice on that day will rejoice,

there'll be peace and contentment evermore.

And the glory of the Lord will shine and bring the truth divine,

There'll be love and forgiveness everywhere,

and the way of the Lord will that day be restored, there'll be love, sweet love everywhere.

Rise, Crowned with Light

Alexander Pope, 1712

Rise, crowned with light, imperial Salem, rise!

Exalt thy towering head, and lift thine eyes;

See heaven its sparkling portals wide display

And break upon thee in a flood of day.

See a long race thy spacious courts adorn;

See future sons and daughters, yet unborn,

In crowding ranks on every side arise,

Demanding life, impatient for the skies.

See barbarous nations at thy gates attend,

Walk in the light, and in thy temple bend;

See thy bright altars thronged with prostrate kings,

While every land its joyful tribute brings.

The seas shall waste, the skies in smoke decay,

Rocks fall to dust, and mountains melt away;

But fixed this Word, this saving power remains;

Thy realms shall last, thine own Messiah reigns. Amen.
