*HYMN 400                  More Love to Thee, O Christ

*INVOCATION AND LORDÕS PRAYER (unison)

Almighty God, to you all hearts are open, all desires known, and from you no secrets are hidden. You know us as we are. Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit. Anoint this gathering with your grace, that we may more perfectly love you and love each other. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord, who taught us to pray, sayingÉ

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.  Amen.

Christ Is Made The Sure Foundation

Latin Hymn, 8th century

Christ is made the sure foundation,

Christ the Head and Cornerstone;

Chosen of the Lord, and precious,

Binding all the Church in one;

Holy Zion's help forever,

And her confidence alone.

To this temple where we call thee,

Come, O Lord of hosts, today;

With thy wonted loving-kindness

Hear thy servants as they pray,

And thy fullest benediction

Shed within its walls alway.

Laud and honor to the Father,

Laud and honor to the Son,

Laud and honor to the Spirit,

Ever Three and ever One,

One in might, and One in glory,

While unending ages run.

O God Of Bethel

Philip Doddridge

O God of Bethel, by whose hand

Thy people still are fed,

Who through this weary pilgrimage

Hast all our fathers led;

Our vows, our prayers we now present

Before thy throne of grace;

God of our fathers, be the God

Of their succeeding race.

Through each perplexing path of life

Our wandering footsteps guide;

Give us, each day, our daily bread,

And raiment fit provide.

O spread thy covering wings around

Till all our wanderings cease,

And at our Father's loved abode

Our souls arrive in peace.

Such blessings from thy gracious hand

Our humble prayers implore;

And thou shalt be our chosen God,

And portion evermore. Amen.

Behold My Servant

Isaiah 42:1,6

Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights.

I am the Lord, I have called you in righteousness.

Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights.

I have taken you by the hand and kept you.

Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights.

I have given you as a covenant, a covenant to the people, a light to the nations.

Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights.
