Liturgist: Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

People: And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit.

Liturgist: Therefore, since it is by God’s mercy that we are engaged in this ministry, we do not lose heart.

People: But we come to praise and worship the God who called down to earth, “This is my Son, my Chosen; listen to him!”

The 40 days of Lent are traditionally a period of meditation, prayer and spiritual renewal. “Renewed for Life” is a devotional manual featuring excerpts from the works of Henri Nouwen. Each day’s reading is based on a scripture passage, a summary thought, and a prayer. These booklets are available in the atrium or from the Church Office.

Ken Lindl will speak at the Suburban Retired Men’s Club meeting to be held on Monday February 23, 9:00 a.m. at Congregational Home. Ken’s topic, “Understanding Dyslexia.” Bring a friend to the next meeting.

Circle 8 will meet at the Congregational Home on Tuesday, March 2 at 1:30 p.m. We will have dessert and play Bunco with the residents.

Breakfast with the Girls will be held Saturday, March 6.
